Sprinkler repair questions in Grapevine

What should I say when I call?

Your neighborhood, what the yard is doing, and whether one zone or the whole system is involved. A wet stripe at the foundation, a single geyser, and a blank controller are different visits. The number is (469) 294-8444.

Can I water at noon if the lawn is stressed?

No. Grapevine prohibits irrigation of lawns and landscape from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. all year, with a narrow exception for hand watering and soaker hoses. A clock set to midday is not a gray area. The city can also order a two-day schedule split by the Cotton Belt corridor.

Why is the soil wet along the brick?

Often a lateral or a drip line is leaking into the foundation bed. Clay holds that water against the brick. It can also be a valve that never closes. We isolate it before we dig. See leak repair.

Do you replace every head if one is broken?

No. We replace the failed head and any nozzle that is misting or hitting the street. A zone of sunk heads is a different scope, and we will say how many before we start.

Is a backflow test included with a repair?

No. Backflow testing is scheduled on its own. We can look at heads the same day if you ask, as separate work.

Do you cover cities next to Grapevine?

This site is for Grapevine. If you are just outside the city, say the city when you call and we will tell you if that stop is on the route. Watering advice on these pages is Grapevine’s ordinance, not a neighbor’s.
